Dato’ Seri Lim is the founder of LBS Bina Holdings Sdn Bhd (“LBS”), and was appointed as the Chairman of LBS Bina Group Berhad (“LBGB”) on the 6th of December 2001. With over 40 years of experience in the construction and property development sectors, he started his business venture transporting and supplying sand, aggregates, earth and ball clay for infrastructure construction works before eventually venturing into the construction and development sector himself.
Dato’ Seri Lim is still active at work, particularly in community activities in the Seri Setia area in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Nurturing communities and enriching them remains close to his heart till this day.
Graduated in 1982 with First Class Honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Wales, UK, Tan Sri Lim came home to Malaysia to assist his father, Dato’ Seri Lim Bok Seng in the family business. Under his father’s tutelage, Tan Sri Lim Hock San grew the family business into a prominent property development in Malaysia, even going beyond and expanding the business further, delving into both insurance and tourism.
On the 6th of December 2001, Tan Sri Lim was appointed the Managing Director of LBS Bina Group Berhad (“LBGB”).
With excellent entrepreneurship, acquired management skills and experienced technical expertise, Tan Sri Lim Hock San has been an integral part of the company’s growth, spearheaded LBGB and its subsidiaries (“Group”) in becoming one of the leading players in the property development industry here in Malaysia.
Tan Sri Lim Hock San also holds directorship of several subsidiary companies within the Group; one as Chairman of Risk Management Committee in LBGB and the other as Managing Director of ML Global Berhad.
Datuk Wira Lim Hock Guan was appointed as Executive Director of LBGB on 6 December 2001. He graduated from the Tennessee Technology University in the US and holds a B. Sc. in Civil Engineering. Datuk Wira Lim Hock Guan began his career as a Civil Engineer upon his graduation and has since then accumulated more than 20 years of extensive experience in the field of property development and construction.
He currently oversees the Group’s projects in Klang Valley and is one of the major driving forces behind the LBS Group’s successful implementation of the projects in the Klang Valley.
Apart from running the Group’s projects, Datuk Wira Lim Hock Guan also sits on the Board of several subsidiary companies of the Group. He is member of Risk Management Committee and ESOS Committee in LBGB. He also sits within the Board of Zhuhai Holdings Investment Group Limited, a company listed on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange, as Non-Executive Director.
Datuk Wira Lim Hock Guan also sits on the Board of ML Global Berhad, a listed company as an Executive Director and several subsidiary companies of the Group.
Fun fact; Dato Wira Lim Hock Guan is a qualified sharpshooter from National Rifle Association, Washington D.C.
Maj (Hon) Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Sing was appointed as Executive Director of LBGB on the 6th of December 2001. Obtaining his Bachelor of Accounting Degree from Eastern Washington University in 1989, Maj (Hon) Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Sing started his practice as an audit supervisor at Khoo & Co, a local public accounting firm. In 1991, he was hired by LBS as a fulltime Director and has since been entrusted with LBS Group’s interests in the states of Pahang and Johor.
Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Sing has devoted his professional career to LBS. With his extensive background in accountancy, coupled with a 20-year experience in property development, he has contributed invaluable aptitude in matters of finance, marketing and real estate evaluation. He is also actively involved as part of the Board of subsidiaries within the Group.
Much like the rest of his companions, Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Sing is very much in tune with the community. His environmental concerns are reflected in his position as one of the Trustees in Sultan Ahmad Shah Environment Trust (SASET) since 2012. He is also a contributing member of Persatuan Warga Cinta Negara Malaysia (PENCINTA), and engaged in central roles for organizations like Young Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia (PUUM) and Sungai Way Hokkien Association.
Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Sing, a well-respected corporate figure was invited to be a part of the Malaysian-Kuwait Business council as a committee member. The organization was formed under the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) as part of their initiative to foster healthy international ventures between Malaysia and Kuwait.
For his contributions to the country, Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Sing was awarded the rank of Honorary Major in the 505th Regiment of The Reserve Army of Malaysia by K.D.Y.T.M. Tengku Mahkota Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah in 2012.
Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Seong graduated from Kolej Damansara Utama with a Diploma in Telecommunication and Computer Engineering in 1990 and has been an Executive Director of LBS since 1992. He was then appointed Executive Director of LBGB in December of 2001.
As a Director in charge of property development projects in Perak, he monitors the initialisation, planning, management and overseeing day-to-day operations of the projects within the state.
Datuk Lim Hock Seong is also actively involved in community works and sits on the Board of several subsidiary companies within the Group.
Dato’ Sri Lim Hok Seong also holds several positions outside the company. He is currently a member of the Yayasan Ang Koai Selangor, the Malaysian Chinese Association, the Persatuan Hokkien Seri Setia as well as other charitable and non-profit-making organisations.
Upon playing an active role in the social development and well-being of the community, Dato’ Sri Lim Hock Seong has been conferred the Diraja Mulia Seri Melaka (D.M.S.M) by His Royal Highness Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka in 2007.
Dato’ Chia Lok Yuen was appointed as a Director of LBGB on the 6th of December 2001 and was promoted to Executive Director in the early months of July 2005. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrator, UK (ACIS) and has obtained a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Bankers Malaysia. He is also an MBA graduate from the prestigious Heriott-Watt University in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
After his graduation, Dato’ Chia Lok Yuen pursued a career in banking, starting his career as a banker under the employment of a well-known domestic bank. With 16 years under his belt, Dato’ Chia Lok Yuen has gained vast experience and exposure in local and international corporate business dealings.
He came on board LBS as a Senior General Manager in 1996, in which he oversaw the overall management and business operations of the Group. He has contributed significantly towards the growth of the LBGB Group and its subsequent listing in Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
He is responsible for LBS Group’s corporate functions which includes IT, Treasury, Investor Relations, Legal, Credit & Property Management and Secretarial & Corporate Affairs.
Dato’ Chia Lok Yuen also sits on the Board of the subsidiary companies of the Group and is a member of the Risk Management Committee and ESOS Committee in LBGB.
Dato’ Lim Mooi Pang was appointed as Executive Director of LBGB in July 16th, 2009. She graduated with an Honour Degree in Management Studies from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. She began her career in New Zealand with Ernst & Young, where she received her qualifications as a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. She held the position of Senior Audit Manager at Ernst & Young before heading to Speedline Technologies as their Director of Finance and Administration
Dato’ Lim Mooi Pang was the Senior General Manager of the Overseas Operating Division when she joined LBS back in 2004. She was in charge of managing LBS Group’s investments in Zhuhai, China, where she went on to become the Vice Chairman of Zhuhai International Circuit Ltd.
She is currently responsible for LBS Group’s corporate functions in Accounts and Finance, Human Resource and Administration, Purchasing and Rental, Sales and Marketing Communication.
Dato’ Lim Mooi Pang also sits on the Board of the subsidiary companies of the Group and is a member of the Risk Management Committee in LBGB.
Datuk Lim Si Cheng was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of LBGB back in August of 2013. Datuk Lim Si Cheng began his career as a journalist in 1968. He then ventured into politics in 1982, where he was a State Assemblyman of Bandar Segamat, Johor as a Government Exco Member. He was soon appointed as a Political Secretary, where he served under the Minister of Transportation from 1990 to 1995. During his time under the Minister of Transportation, he was elected as Member of Parliament Kulai, Johor for 3 consecutive terms from 1995 to 2008.
Datuk Lim Si Cheng then moved to the House of Representative in the Malaysian Parliament and served as the Deputy Speaker from 1999 all the way up to February 2008. He was also a member of the Malaysian Pepper Board from 2008 to 2011.
Datuk Lim holds several directorships in various companies which include Ralco Corporation Berhad and Koperasi Jayadiri Malaysia Bhd.
He is also very active in community works of various charitable organisations. Presently, Datuk Lim is the Deputy Chairman of MCA Disciplinary Board, member of University Tunku Abdul Rahman Education Foundation, Trustee in Huaren Education Foundation, Trustees in Chang Ming Thien Foundation, board member of VTAR Education Sdn Bhd and a committee member of Malaysia Mental Literacy Movement.
Datuk Lim is a member of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee and ESOS Committee in LBGB.
Datuk Dr. Haji Baharum bin Haji Mohamed was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of LBGB and was soon bestowed the title of Senior Independent Non-Executive Director on the 19th April 2014. He is currently the Director of FELCRA Berhad.
Datuk Dr. Baharum graduated from the UKM, Malaysia with a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) back in 1982. Further pursuing his studies, Datuk Dr. Haji Baharum graduated with a Master’s Degree from European University Institute in Ireland and in 2003, he received his doctorate in Environmental Studies from University Utara Malaysia in 2015.
After graduating in 1982, he started his career as an officer with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), and was appointed as Deputy Director of MARA in the states of Negeri Sembilan from 1987 till 1989 and then in Sabah from 1989 to 1992. He also held the position of Special Officer to YB Chairman of MARA from 1992 to 1995 prior to his appointment as Principal Secretary to the Deputy Minister of the Prime Minister’s Department.
He was aslo the former Chairman of Lembaga Pelesenan Kenderaan Perdagangan (CVLB) Semenanjung Malaysia in 2004 and was appointed as Chairman of UDA Holding Berhad soon after.
Datuk Dr Baharum is Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit Committee and ESOS Committee in LBGB.
Lim Tong Lee was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of LBGB back in May of 2013. He is also on the Board of ValueMax Group Ltd, a company listed on the Main Board of Singapore Exchange, as Independent Non-Executive Director.
With more than 24 years working experience in private equity, corporate finance and audit, Lim Tong Lee brings a wealth of experience to the company. He started his career with Ernst & Young Kuala Lumpur where he spent 5 years before joining AmInvestment Bank Berhad as Director of Corporate Finance.
Lim Tong Lee then joined Venstar Capital Management Pte. Ltd in Singapore as their Senior Vice President before joining AmWater Investments Management pte Ltd in 2013 as their Chief Investment Officer. He then made his way to AmFraser Securities Pte. Ltd Singapore as the Director/Head of Corporate Finance where he held the position from 2007 to 2012.
He is a Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom, a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He is is currently the Chairman of the Audit Committee and ESOS Committee in LBGB.
