 LBS Foundation Lend A Helping Hand to Storm Victims in Sepang 

Petaling Jaya, 9 March 2021 – The storm that hit Sepang last Saturday has left many communities devastated as it had destroyed their homes in the middle of a pandemic. In their effort to carry social responsibilities, LBS Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm for LBS Bina Group continues to be committed in providing assistance and donations to those in need.

To aid the storm victims, LBS Foundation donated RM3,000 and 500 bottles of mineral water to Persatuan Penduduk Taman Seroja (BBST).

Amal Abdul Aziz, on behalf of LBS Foundation handed the mock cheque to the Chairman of Taman Seroja Residence Association, Hairol Azman Razali and witnessed by YAB Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, YDP of Sepang Municipal Council, Dato’ Haji Abd Hamid bin Hussain and DO of Sepang Land’s office, Tuan Mohamad Zain Bin A Hamid.

The Board of Trustees of LBS FoundationTan Sri Lim Hock San said “The Covid-19 pandemic has already affected many livelihoods, but the storm has further impacted people’s lives, affected families have no shelter. We hope our donation will help ease the burden of the storm victims,”.

Among the Taman Seroja Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi (BBST) residential areas affected are – Taman Seroja, Taman Dahlia, Seroja Hill Apartment, Taman Dahlia Apartment, Kampung Baru Pekan Salak and Kampung Salak Tengah.

Schools in the area, namely – Sekolah Rendah Taman Seroja, SK Taman Seroja and SMK Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi had also sustained damage. In addition, tents and equipment at the Sepang district police headquarters roadblock were damaged too due to the strong winds and continuous heavy rain. LBS Foundation empathises with victims of the unfortunate incident and they hope they will be able to recover the soonest possible.
